Burt’s Bees Radiance Toner Review

(Last Updated On: December 12, 2018)

I recently tried the Radiance range from Burt’s Bees. I was sent the Radiance Night Cream, Radiance Toner and Radiance Eye Cream and I thought I’d feature my favourite of the lot today – the Radiance Toner.

I’m not a big toner fan. The toners I used in the past have felt too harsh for my skin and would make my normally problem-free skin turn red. Even when I shopped for alcohol-free options, I just never found one that I really liked. I prefer to reach for mists instead – I find them a lot gentler and while the purpose of facial mists differ from toners, I just preferred them as a somewhat dissimilar ‘alternative’.

I had high expectations when I first had a little sniff. It smells beautiful, herbal, a little of chamomile. This plant-based toner’s star ingredient is Royal Jelly, which is well known for its moisturising, anti-aging and healing benefits. It’s also packed with 134 nutrients like amino acids and multiple vitamins.

The Radiance Toner comes in a 175ml bottle which is quite a generous size. I’m not sure when I’ll actually even get half way with it since only a little amount is needed each time. This is one very gentle, soothing toner – no stinging at all (but do note that I don’t have sensitive skin). Instead, this botanical blend feels very pleasantly hydrating and is great for some skin prepping for the next step of moisturising. It removes traces of any extra dirt or make-up that’s not removed by my cleanser. It says it’s made to “tone and refresh for a naturally healthy glow” and I can agree with what it has done for my skin. Other plus points: it’s 99% natural, is dermatologist tested and suitable for all skin types.
