7 Best Concealers For Acne Prone Skin: Which Ones Actually Work?

(Last Updated On: August 8, 2019)

It’s tiring trying to find the perfect way to cover up my blemishes. Every time it started going away, more would come back! It took me a while to find a good concealer that will suit well for blemish prone skin like mine considering skin tone, ingredients, and coverage.

What To Consider?

There are general rules when it comes to picking one. It has to match the skin tone of course, and should fit comfortably on your skin. To cover up the blemishes and pimples though, there are a few more things to consider.

Sanitation and Cleanliness

If you reuse brushes or just throw on some product with your fingers, dirt may leak into your pores and cause more breakouts thanks to the bacteria. I realized I have to at least make sure my hands are clean before using them.

What are the best concealers for dry skin?

Coverage

I’d like to make my blemishes just about invisible. Well, to hide the scars, you’d need a certain formula to get rid of the redness in just a couple light layers.

Medicinal Properties

Pick ones that work to treat blemishes while covering with ingredients like salicylic acid and others to prevent drying.
