Best Soap for Body Acne: 2020 Review

I’ve spent years dealing with body acne, and I can’t describe to you how annoying it is! It leaves my skin uneven, red, and blotchy. I thought there was no end in sight, but I had my hopes that the best soap for body acne would help clear things up.

What Soap You Need For Body Acne

Alright, so I knew I wanted to find a good soap for my body acne, but I didn’t exactly know where to start. Products for acne prone skin are a little different, meaning that you need to look at a few certain factors.

Type of Skin

I personally have more oily skin that’s less sensitive. When you look for your soap, you need to consider your type of skin too. If your skin is already a little dry, drying out the skin too much can actually lead to more acne. Bubble-based products remove oil well though, and body scrubs get rid of buildup.

Medicated Soap

There are medicated products out there that are specifically meant to kill bacteria. These types of soap not only get rid of bacteria, but encourage your skin to shed dead skin cells.

Ingredients

Look for salicylic acid as one of the active ingredients, and benzoyl peroxide as well. These specifically are formulated to help deal with skin issues.

Foaming or Exfoliating

Remember how I said you need to pay attention to skin sensitivity? Well, that’s because there are different types of scrubs for different skin. Exfoliating scrubs are great for oily skin like mine, but if your skin is more sensitive, you might find it’s too rough.

Best Soap For Body Acne

I considered a lot of factors when I started looking for the best soap for body acne. I needed to consider my oily skin especially, but when you look at soaps, keep in mind which will work best for your skin specifically.
