Brauer Naturals: Paw Paw Lip Shimmer Range | Review & Swatches

(Last Updated On: July 5, 2017)

I was introduced to Australian brand Brauer Naturals recently (Ok, about 3 months ago now!) at the NSW Bloggers Brunch. I have seen Brauer products before in Coles but I usually see the baby range. I was so thrilled to see Brauer’s Paw Paw Lip Shimmer range and its gorgeous colours; I was given one of each shade to go have a play and swatch!

This Paw Paw Lip Shimmer range is available in 6 shades. If I had to pick one, I would find it really difficult. They are all really beautiful and very wearable shades.

Brauer Paw Paw Lip Shimmer

This Brauer range uses no petrochemicals, parabens or SLS; basically no nasties in these little tubes. They are rich in natural ingredients such as paw paw, shea butter, honey and almond oil. I love the subtle tints of these lip shimmers. As I tend to go with darker eye makeup, I usually leave my lip colour more neutral or subtle.

Every shade has a gentle shimmer to it that is not over the top in my opinion and is just subtle, though I should mention that Toffee (brown-bronze shade) is the most shimmery one of the lot. Pink Diamond is a very, very sheer light pink while French Rose is a cooler tone of pink. Blush is such as pretty rose pink shade. I initially thought I wouldn’t get much use out of Luscious Lilac (purplish shade) or Toffee given that they are more unique shades but they actually look quite good against my tanned skin. The best colour payoff would be Toffee and Ruby as you can see from the swatches.

Colours aside, this lip shimmer is supposed to be “gentle on sensitive lips“. I like how it feels upon application – very soft and buttery. My lips also stay soft for a good few hours after.
Overall, I really like the choice of colours for this range. I see many paw paw lip balms but I haven’t tried any paw paw lip shimmer yet. Definitely an interesting combination of paw paw benefits with gorgeous shimmery colours!

Have you tried any of the Brauer’s Paw Paw Lip Shimmers? Which is your favourite shade? 🙂

Available in Priceline and other pharmacies and health food stores for $8.95 each.

*I received this range for review at the NSW Bloggers Brunch. My opinions are genuine and uninfluenced.
